Asociación voluntaria de abogados, jueces y otros profesionales del derecho estadounidenses fundada en 1878.
Es la asociación de abogados más importante de EE.UU. y su objeto es mejorar el ejercicio de la profesión, asegurar que los servicios legales estén al alcance de toda la ciudadanía y perfeccionar la administración de justicia. Lleva a cabo proyectos educacionales y de investigación, auspicia reuniones profesionales y publica una revista mensual. A comienzos del s. XXI tenía más de 400 mil miembros.
